The VA is typical of an agency run by elected interference. I pressure my congressmen/women every chance I get. VOTE always. This is the single most important tool we have.

My first "hadit" post, hi. I am over 60 with probably typical VA dealings. I have come to this forum 'well-recommended.' I have pursued Agent Orange since 1970 (discharge). Perplexity seems to be my feeling as to the VA and their views of the Orange/Blue/Red dust effects. From reading it seems cancer is the key- well, what if you don't have cancer BUT your blood system is screwed up? This is where I'm at. 100% over active thyroid within a year of discharge. VA hospitalized me and radiated the hell out of my throat. Also, I am service 10% for nerve damage from gunshot- needs to be more :) Along with "night-sweats" and some more I will peruse the forums for. Looks to be a great place. I will visit with you folks frequently

I was "blue water" aviation mechanic. We serviced aircraft covered in dust. Clouds we thought were dust sometimes drifted upon the carrier deck. A bluish-gray dust, very fine, was almost impossible to wash off. I suffered 100% over-active thyroid. Tell me there is no connection.
