  1. Hello all, Hopefully someone can help me understand the process. I made a C & P claim on my seperation date, 01 Sept 2011. All of the evidence in support of my claim was from military doctors before my discharge. I have not been contacted or notified by the VA that I need C & P exams nor have I received anything saying exams have been scheduled. My claim has been in the gathering of evidence stage which is where it has been for months. Should I be concerned that I have not been contacted for an exam? How do I get exams scheduled? My claim is for compressed disc in the back (evidence is an MRI), tinnitus (Hearing Test), knee injury resulting in 70% removal of meniscus (Surgery records), ankle injury (MRI), and sleep apnea (sleep study) and Gerd (require a daily medication). Also it may be helpful to know that my claim started out as a BDD or "benefits delivered on discharge" claim, but for some reason (never found out why) it was transferred to the regional office in St. Petersburg Florida. Now the ebenefits website says "Estimated Claim Completion Date: 09/04/2012 to 10/26/2013" That seems like quite a large range of time. I don't know what is going on and I get no clear answers from the VA. Please help. Thanks! Scott
  2. Greetings, I hope someone can provide some guidance as to what I should do. I am a veteran of 1 tour in OIF and 2 tours OEF with the Army. I started my VA claim under the "quick start" claims process while conducting out processing from the Army. My ETS date was Sept 1, 2011 and my claim date is Sept 2, 2011. I recently called the VA to check on the status of my claim and I was told "This is strange, it looks like nothing has been done with your claim since September." The VA representative followed this statement up with "I am going to start an inquiry." About 2 weeks went by and I got an email from a VA representative that states "Your claim is being removed from the quick start program and transferred to a regional office due to non availability for exams." What is frustrating is the VA never tried to set up an exam as I never received a letter or telephone call to schedule an exam. I waited 6 months with no activity on my claim only to now be told they were removing it from the quick claims process. I do not know what to do.....how do I get an exam scheduled? Can someone help? The regional office my claim was transferred to is St. Petersburg, Florida. Thanks, Scott
