  1. When I got out of the service I lived in AR and I stayed there for a couple of years. So my inital claim was submitted to the Little Rock RO. Since then I have move to Chicago and now my claim was just completed. I'm wanting to appeal but I'm not sure if I can use the Chicago office or if I have to use the same office that I originally filed with.
  2. I do not have a VSO. I filed in Little Rock and I didn't really get much guidence from there. Well it looks like I got approved for 20%. Hopefully my packet will have more detail on why I only got 20%. Another thing, the effective date says Dec 1, 2012 but I originally submitted the claim Jan 5, 2012. Is that date wrong? Should it read Dec 1, 2011? If so, how do I get that corrected? I'm pretty sure I'll have to do a NOD to see if I can get that raised a bit. Also, a little off topic. I tore some ligaments in my ankle while in Iraq about 5 years ago and I've been out of the service since 2010. Recently, that same ankle has been really bothering me and may require surgery. I didn't put the ankle on my original claim because at the time it wasn't bothering me. How would I go about adding that and depression to my rating? Would I submit a new claim? Can I do that while I'm appealing the one that just completed?
  3. So I've had a claim processing since Jan 2012 and it moved into Preparing for Notification today. My question is that when I check the status of the claim it stated that they did not receive continuation evidence for any of my disabilities. Do this mean that I'm most likely to be denied? Also, when I called and talked to ePeggy when I first noticed that they were requesting evidence (about 10 months ago) I was told that the C&P along with my in service medical records would suffice. Now I'm regretting listening to her. Can someone please help me understand this a little more and maybe tell me that I'm overconcerned. I really would hate to start this process over again. I got out of the service in 2010 and it took them over a year to get my medical records to me (they got lost somewhere in the system). So my initial claim wasn't submitted until I was out for almost a year and a half. Now I've been out for about 3 years and still haven't resolved this.
