  1. this I good. I will get this info and try to submit it. I can however inform you that I was awarded 10% in feb 2009 (back to feb 2003 that is how long it took to decide) then we appealed and as of today it is still in the Board of Appeals (since feb 2009) Now I have been awarded 100% but effective to the date the doctor saw me april 2013 which make no sense as there is appeal on the same issue. This as a secondary to tbi.
  2. No it is not the first date. I suffered a tbi and because of it I have seizures. I have had them since the accident and have been treated for them since before 1998. My appeal for % was feb 2003. My test was done april 2013. How would it be correct? Please explain? Advice? I am confused
  3. Thanks guys. My testing was done in PR, so it was not a doctor in the VA Fl system. I did speak to the Chief of C&P and he was very nice and he said he had already requested an account of what had happen to the doctor (her version of the events) and he was waiting for that. He said he took this complaint very seriously and I truly believe him. I will keep you all posted. I don't think this lady should be taking care of other vets, she is a danger to us. Since my exam I have been put on sleeping meds, and depression meds because this has created such chaos in my life. I thank you all for taking your time to be so supportive. I have another question which I shall post in another topic but will end here. Is it normal for a person to be awarded a compensation to retro only to the date of the test date and not the appeal date? Let me explain. I have an appeal for feb 2003 for seizures and had the exam on april 2013 and was awarded for april 2013??? I find this very weird. Like suddenly I was totally ill on that day!!! :O Any ideas
  4. Thank you guys for all the comments, advice and encouragement. This week I am going to go speak to the Chief of C&P and the Big Kahuna of the Hospital and see what can be done. Also going to see my service rep to see what she can get done about this considering I complaint that same day, and a decision should have never should have been made using this doctors exam. It's terrible how someone can create such chaos in your life, this could take years to resolve ... Who can I ask if there have been other complaints made of this doctor? No it was not in Bay Pines. I think I will take your advice and also complain to IG. Any further advice as always will be greatly appreciated.' Thank you all for taking your time to help me
  5. I had a C&P evaluation and the doctor was over an hour late, then she was rude and mean, and called me a liar straight to my face. I went directly and made a complaint, but the Chief was on vacation at the moment. I spoke to the patient advocate and a Supervisor in the C&P area and made a written complaint. They still sent her report in, and go figure she denied my claim. All this time I have continued to complain about this doctor, even not knowing what the outcome would be. They said they would get me a new evaluation. What do I do now? Any advice as to where I go? I don't think it's fair I have to wait for an appeal? Thanks for taking the time to read.
