  1. I filed a BDD Claim in November 2012 and actually retired 1 May 2013. My claim was sent to the SLC RO and then farmed out to the Phoenix RO in October 2013. Although it was only 7 months ( I know others have waited and are waiting longer) it seemed like forever..Espcecially the not knowing part. I did a calculation based on what I thought and even though I came up with 100% it was very nerve racking because ultimately the rater makes the determination. Like I said, I am very happy with the outcome but there is a hollow feeling as to the overall fact that at 50 years old I have enough injuries/conditions from my 25 years of service to be considered 100% disabled.. Good luck to all and Happy Veterns Day to all my brothers and sisters who had the opportunity to serve our great nation..
  2. On 5 Nov my claim showed complete. As I scrolled down to find out more info I was shocked and surprised to find I was rated at 100 % P/T. I am very happy but it still seems surreal. Good luck to everyone else waiting for theirs claims and appeals to get completed.
  3. Thanks for the reply J. I live in E-Town....And you? Mike
  4. Greetings to all and thanks for your service and advice. I have been reading the forums but this is my first post. I recently (1 May 13) retired from JBLM, WA after 25 1/2 years in the Army. I submitted a BDD claim (with VFW VSO) on 1 Nov 12 with 22 issues and had my C&P exams in Dec 12 and January 13. I was told that my claim would be sent to the Salt Lake City RO. In February 13 we moved to the Fort Knox, KY area. I made sure that I updated my address and such with the VA and verified it was updated in ebenefits. My question is when will I hear anything about my claim? I tried to contact my VSO....Nada. Ebenefits has it "Under Review" which was supposed to be finished on 21 Aug but it now says it is passed its due date for completion of this step. I know at that at only 4 months into the claims process I am very new to the process but the not knowing or hearing anything is frustrating. Thanks and I look forward to viewing/assisting others as they transition.
