So I'm pretty stoked I finally, after 9 Months, got my Disability Rating back from the VA!! All the below items were service connected and it breaks down as follows:
Sleep Apnea: 50%
Cardiomyopathy: 30%
Degenerative Disc Disease Lumbar Back: 20%
Cubital Tunnel Syndrome: 20% with Bilateral Factor= 22%
Tinnitus: 10%
Hypertension: 10%
Plantar Fasciitis (also Fallen Arches): 0%
Shin Splints: 0%
Allergic Rhinitis w/ Sinusitis: 0%
Migraine Headaches: 0%
GERD associated w/ Gulf War Syndrome: 0%
Hypogonadism: 0%
Dermatophytosis (nail fungus): 0%
Everything else was not awarded a rating and no service connection. All in All it puts me @ 78% combined rating...which makes me 80% Disabled!!
So...I'm pretty happy with the outcome...surprised on the Cardiomyopathy @ 30% everything else is as figured!!
So...now I just get to wait for that back pay check and my monthly payment to start!!!!

My claim has now moved into the preparation for notification phase...uuugghhh!
The anticipation is killing me...lol!
Just an update...its moving albeit slowly!

Mine was in Prep for Decision once already too...they pushed it back though and I had like 4 more C&P exams to get it to where it is now...so IDK...I guess...I'll just have to wait....
I can't believe it's going to take them from now till god knows when at this point to make a decision! They pushed back the estimated completion date to 7/20/2015- 12/20/2015.
I guess they do that on purpose to extend it past that 1 year post service mark...so you if you have something else to claim they can say you developed it after service...or whatever...
It's really quite frustrating...

So my claim finally moved from Gathering Evidence to Preparation for Decision. They also pushed back the approximate decision dates to 7/20/15 - 12/20/2015.

Is it that hard to get Bilateral granted? I mean each one of these DBQ's are marked as a Bilateral condition with the same degree of severity for each limb/appendage...so there shouldn't be too big of a question in my mind....but hey that's why I had the DAV file for me...if the VA rejects it then we strap on the gloves and go to the ring for the fight...right?
-
On Each? or Do you mean combined?
I was thinking somewhere around 20% for each individual issue and then the bilateral factor...am I wrong in that thought process?
Cheers

Thanks to you all!
Yeah...that VA math is a little puzzling isn't it? You're right...it seems like it should be more...
I have like 2 other things to claim that I need to get put in...I had forgot about them when I did my first claim...so I'm debating on filing that claim or waiting a bit to let this payment get started first, you know...I don't want to poke the bear so to speak.
Cheers to all! I hope everyone gets what they deserve!
