Hey everyone. Has anyone ever heard of NOT receiving any dependent's allowance for 4.5 years, and spending most of that time talking with the VA trying to get this problem solved? I've been talking with the VA about this for years now - they say they see my dependents on my file. But ALWAYS they tell me that my case is processing. I have sent a letter to my congressman in CA; that was a couple months ago. I've asked the office if they've managed to get any further with my case, but no reply. They were very talkative and helpful in the beginning, but now pretty silent. Has anyone heard of something like this happening before? Thanks for any feedback.

I am a 70% disabled vet and I have NEVER received my dependent's allowance. For 4.5 years now. I have been talking to the VA about this for years. I was entered into some pilot program in November of 2014; they said I should have it within a month or two. 7 months later, still nothing. The VA reps always tell me that my dependent's information have always been on my file since the beginning and they don't understand why I don't get my allowance. I contacted my congressman's office last month but I am sure it may take them a little bit of time to do something. I have also sent a complaint to the OIG (Office of the Inspector General). Does anyone have any suggestions for what else I should or could do?
