Its been a long 2 years trying to claim IBS, Shoulder impingment, and tinnitus. Just received some money from va. But dont know what for. ebenifits will not allow me to register. What can I do to get more info.

Was able to get the preferred choice doctors diagnosis. Which was K92.1 Hematochezia K58.9 IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) Hopefully this helps when I go the my vro in a few weeks. So even tho I hurt my shoulder in desert storm I cant claim it. It was not pre-existing before desert shield/storm. Also the psorasis that he says I have now is not the same thing I was treated for in the gulf. I had pustules oozing out of my feet and hands that lasted for years and was treated by the va in the early 90s. It is gone now but I wonder if it will ever come back.

Denied Shoulder impingement syndrome with nexus letter. Denied IBS that was diagnosed by va and preferred choice gastro doctor Denied Psorisis that C&P doctor admitted is Psorisis. Maybe I don't understand the rules of the presumptives? How should I proceed? Here is the actual denials. DIAGNOSIS: 1. Left shoulder impingement [Icd10 code: m75.40]. Veteran has claimed a disability pattern related to (left shoulder pain) that meets TL10-01 criteria for a disease with a clear and specific etiology and diagnosis. Not caused by or related to GW environmental exposure. Not caused by rotator cuff weakness documented in 1991 and that pre-existed to deployment and active service at the time, as per medical records documentation. Veteran denied any shoulder condition on physical examination dated 1993. No functional limitations. Normal x rays. Condition is due to re petitive activity at or above the shoulder during work or sports as per medical literature. Dr. Herzog assessment/note, although full of advocacy, is inconsistent with objective documented data in medical records (STR's), and hence delegated to a personal speculation. 2. Claimed condition: "Irritable Bowel Syndrome". There is insufficient evidence to warrant or confirm a diagnosis of an acute or chronic Irritable Bowel Syndrome condition or its residuals. No medical opinion can be rendered as no condition is diagnosed. Veteran does not meet Roma III criteria for diagnosis. Veteran denied any gastrointestinal condition on physical examination dated 1993. Veteran reported symptomatology as likely as not 2ry to dietary variations, although the possibility of functional diarrhea, celiac or other malabsorption condition has not being entirely ruled out. 3. Psoriasis [Icd10 code: L40.0]. Veteran has claimed a disability pattern related to (skin condition) that meets TL10-01 criteria for a disease with a clear and specific etiology and diagnosis. Not caused by or related to GW environmental exposure. Not caused by or related to nickel allergy, nor by rash documented on 1991 that resolved after Lidex treatment. Veteran denied any skin condition on physical examination dated 1993. Condition as per medical literature, is genetically determined by the psoriasis-susceptibility (PSORS1) locus within the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) on chromosome 6p21 (location of the HLA genes) I admit I may have said I had no issues out processing in 1993 but I was wanting to leave the airforce at the time and didn't want anything to stop that and did not know anything about compensation. I was told to go the the va and get treated for rashes from the gulf war and the va did treat until I stopped going.

It appears that my preferred choice appt. with gastro is listed in my appts under the blue button but not any info from the appt. He diagnosed me with ibs.

I was turned down for IBS and Rashes for no clinical diagnosis and for shoulder impingment because he didnt agree with the nexus letter from my orthepedic surgeon. Looking on healthevet i see where my problem code for IBS is k58.0 which when i look it up is a diagnosis for ibs but its not the 4 digit code for compensation. The same for the shoulder.. How do i get the diagnosis codes for compensation on my records? Im just confused

I was finally able to access ebenifits but can't get a premium account because I can't get past the address part. Cant figure out what address va has for me. Although everytime I go its verified.

Also he had me get xrays for shoulder and stomach and blood work while I was there. He specifically told me he does not write " in my opinion, or as likely or not" statements. I have a password and username for ebenifits but have never been able to login.

After a year of waiting finally had c&p exam for shoulder impingment, rash on lower legs, and IBS. Had a nexus letter from doctor for shoulder, and IBS and rash were diagnosed by VA. The doctor did not seem to impressed and thought I had way to little testing for these and was shocked I had been diagnosed. Guess I just have to wait and see. The IBS and rash should be presumtive. He said he doesnt make the decision. Whats next? How do I hear whats next? He said I would get a letter, is this true?

So last july I filed a notice to file a claim or whatever its called, for IBS, skin rashes, and shoulder impingment. I have been seeing VA doctor which says I have IBS and skin rashes. Have had negative xrays but physical therapy for shoulder impingment in same shoulder as had it in military documents. Have gone to orthopedist and waiting on a letter connecting. Just got a call from perfered choice program to schedule an upper gi. I guess this was a result of gulf war exam. Should I file now or wait for more stuff? It seems like it will be ongoing treatment so why not file now.

I now am able to be seen in my town by a VA approved preferred choice dr office. She is only a nurse practitioner, but approved and her husband is retired army with 33 years in. First thing she asked is have I filed a claim and do not hesitate to do it now for anything that might be related to the military service. I have started the process for skin rashes and shoulder impengment that happened in service. Think I should leave out IBS and CF since I dont have a diagnosis just being treated for it now. Went to gulf war exam and dr told me I should file claims and get checked for IBS and CF. So I may do that after filing for the others first. Does this sound right. According to the NGRC I shouldnt claim IBS or CF without a diagnosis.

I have all of my medical records except my shot records and an appt. with my county va rep to put claim together next tuesday. The va clinic is treating me for IBS and skin rashes that they are calling psoriasis, but has been called contact dermatitis and eczema at other times. While researching GWI I ran across a study that showed 211 Gulf War I vets had burning semen. I had this and my wife paid dearly for it. It does not bother her anymore but just wondering if anyone here has had it. I figured the reason only 211 were known to have it was because others didnt say anything. I sure didnt and would never had thought it had to do with GWI.

We do have insurance but its a Health Savings Account which means I pay the first 11000. So I need to use the VA. Although I did find a new clinic in town for my sons physical for school but she is only a P.A. My doctor here wants 175 to walk thru the door and he uses P.A.s its hard to get him to actually see me. We have a va clinic 45 mins away and a va hospital 2 hrs away. I dont know how this is going to play out but at least im back in the system now. Still curious where my records are.

Its my first appt at the va clinic here in northern ny. I met with my county va rep who got me set up and filed for disability based on what I told him but wanted a copy of my medical records which show nothing. I didn't even get my shot records. Yes my dd214 shows I was there for Desert Sheild/Storm. I do not have any diagnosis but maybe after I start going to the clinic I will get something. I have tried testosterone treatment for exhaustion but gave up after costing so much.

My first appt. has been set up, so I'm back in the system after 22 years. My records came back from the archives. All records are there except any from the time of the gulf war. They show my wisdom teeth extraction, before gulf war and then my transfer to the guard after gulf war. No records between. I was treated for torn rotator cuff from injury during tent city erection, rashes at our compound and then stomach issues after returning. Was even treated by VA hospital in pensacola for a couple years after but no records of this. Anyone have any ideas what I can do?

Finally got appt for this Friday with VA rep. Don't have records yet though.

I finally got through to the secretary of the county va rep. I can call on the 13th to see about making a schedule on one of my regular fridays off. She wanted me to bring all of my medical records with me but I dont know when I'll have them.

My symptoms right now I guess would be stomach issues. I rarely go a day without diarrhea, especially if I am doing physical labor ( which I do). Also always have the issues with rashes. I have been treating them with my sons eczema stereoids. I have been treated for low testosterone but it was costing too much and didnt seem to help so I quit. The reason for going in for low T was from always being run down and tired. I cant seem to remember anything and cant learn new things as fast. Could all be old age. I dont have any current diagnosis. I dont like going to the doctor because it drains money from the family. I dont have good insurance. I am a temporary federal employee for the 2nd summer in a row, but just cant seem to get permanent even though they really want me. I am not in the va system anymore even though i have a card from 1992 and was being treated. As for as a VSO, I can call my local DAV tomorrow.

What is an smr? I did rhe email request for my military records and requested my old records from private doc in florida. I guess i really dont understand the steps i should take.

Thanks all, I was kinda of prodded by an army vet at work to get checked out by VA. Funny low testosterone was mentioned. I had been giving self injections but gave up because it was not doing anything. I thought it was working once but doctor said my levels were to high and cut my dose. I don't really understand how a doctor will take all these issues and say "oh you must have gulf war illness". It just seems so overwhelming.

I am a USAF Gulf War Vet. Left service in 1992 and went to VA clinic for skin rash medication and stomach issues as I can remember. I had a very serious rash on my feet while in Saudi Arabia and did not go away for years. Also was rushed to Air Force hospital after coming home with stomach issues and had tests but no diagnosis. I stopped going to the Va clinic after only about 3 visits because of work. Just could not keep getting time off. Over the years I thought about checking in with the va but never seemed to have time and when I needed help I would just go to a family doctor. My va card is so old as compared to others that I've seen. I was doing some construction work in a va clinic and asked about my status and was told that they had never seen a card like mine. I've had a lot of the same symptoms that others here have, just wondering if I can still get help. Or is it too late.
