  1. Thank you for the valuable information. I appreciate all of the help and advice!
  2. Thank you for your quick response, and advice. I'll write the letter and include the portion of my records that shows the correct diagnosis date, and remain cautiously optimistic. Ann
  3. All, I retired in February 2015 and filed my claim for VA compensation in May 2015. My claim is listed in Ebenefits as being in the "Preparation for Notification" phase. I downloaded my VA records online today; specifically, my C&P exam record. In it, I discovered that the VA doctor listed my diagnosis date for Obstructive Sleep Apnea w/CPAP as 1 July 15, when in fact the correct diagnosis date was May 2012 and is well documented as being such in my MTF records. My MTF records were uploaded and received along with my fully developed claim May 2015. The VA doctor did list the correct date of my sleep study being in May 2012, but as I previously mentioned he listed the diagnosis date as 1 July 2015, which is the date I actually had my C&P exam. My questions are this: Will the documentation of my correct diagnosis date (May 2012) in my MTF record invalidate the VA doctor's error (listing it as 1 July 2015, the date of my C&P exam)? Should I upload a copy of the portion of my MTF records with the correct diagnosis date into Ebenefits (it still allows you to do so until your claim reaches the "closed" phase), or will the people approving/denying my claim see that since they already have the info? To confuse things further, the doctor notated "It's as likely as not the Veteran's OSA is secondary to her military era having been diagnosed while she was on active duty." What does that even mean? The sentence contradicts itself. Thanks in advance to anyone even attempting to read my confusing post!
