  1. Noted, my Johnson is covered for 12months post discharge. lol.
  2. Thanks Buck! I guess I was not understanting the verbage. It looked like I had to make my claims within 1yr and that if it wasnt in my military medical record I couldnt claim it anymore.
  3. The sleep apnea isnt in my SMR because I never got diagnosed until after I was out of the service. The VA diagnosed me but I dont know the best way to file my claim because I keep reading that I can only connect things that were diagnosed within 1yr of discharge. I am employed and I think I can claim secondary connections to a lot of my primary connections. Do I need to open a new claim for this? I am pretty sure I am out of my NOD timeframe.
  4. I mean i wasnt diagnosed while in service but the VA is treating me for sleep apnea and several other things that I believe were caused during service. If I didnt have them diagnosed before 1 year removed from service can I still SC them and claim them?
  5. I thought there was a program for Combat Vets or people that were always deployed to continue being diagnosed beyond the standard 1 year for disabilities? Am I wrong about this?
  6. Short and sweet, I got out of service in 2015 and filed a claim. It was retro to my date of separation. I was rated at 80% and about 13 of the claims my VSO put in were ruled not service connected. I want to re-submit those claims with better documentation and establish the things I have learned at this website but I dont know if I need to do an appeal or start a new claim?
  7. I thought that 95 was rounded up to 100? It will definitely be a tough road but I think that things are getting a little worse and when I went into my C&P exams I had never even heard of this site or read half of the information I have been reading in the past couple days. My VSO found like 5 or 6 claims that were not service connected and I have my records and can resubmit those and that should start to get me down the right path. Im just so thankful for all the information I am finding on this site. It sucks not being able to play with my kids and being in pain or on meds all the time for it or my mood. Its terrible. Its hard to say what I think is a fair number or what I deserve but I definitely got xxxxxx up in service.. smh. Thanks, Mike
  8. According to the calculator my combined rating is 84% so im at 80% rated
  9. I will run the calculator, Sorry for not answering. I have been working my ass off at work. I have no idea what you mean by NOD and DBQ? My shoulders are getting worse and my back is in constant pain. I will look at getting bumped up to 70% for MH because I really feel like I fit in that category. I was also diagnosed with sleep apneia by a VA Doc. How do i prove that the tests they gave me in the military failed to diagnose me?
  10. So I cant work with a 100% singular MH rating correct? Why do you think it would be a steep climb to get to 100% with my ratings. I feel like my MH rating could make it to 70% and I haven't been rated for sleep apnea... I am also having a ton more pain in my shoulder and back that have already been rated but could be increased... I might be misunderstanding you but I feel like you are saying if I am able to bump up a couple of my other ratings I still wont make it to 100%? I feel like I can work so I am not really interested in IU
  11. Am I rated for PTSD? I was able to find records during my service to support my claim and also from the VA healthcare to support PTSD but im not sure if I should re-open my case? I have an MST and also found docs to substantiate some of my other claims but im afraid I might lower my current rating.. Any help would be appreciated... Can I appeal my current ratings?
