  1. My claim was at gathering evidence then to preparation for decision, then back to gathering evidence. When it went back to gathering evidence, my C&P examiner called me for some additional paperwork that the VA requested. I provided what I had and she said it was good and would write an addendum to the VA with the paperwork. A week later I'm back to preparation to decision and then Pending decision approval in one day. Then my date moved up to 11/2/17. What does this mean? Does this sound like a good sign?
  2. I got a call from my C&P examiner and she said the VA needs further documentation regarding the incident since i turned in my mental health diagnosis. She was asking me for the form number of the sworn statement i wrote. She said they are needing some kind of documentation evidence. She said in order for the VA to acknowledge it as in service. She asked if I have a copy of the form. She said she would try and look in my records. She said she would look thru my records to see if she could find it. But I requested all my records and they said that they couldn't get the records from Bosnia.I'm trying to find the unit of the MP station and Provost Marshall so I can get the blotter report. Does this sound promising? I tried to contact my commander since she is still active. Hopefully she will respond. What else can I do?
  3. I got my claim started and had my C& P appointment rather quickly. I then had my MH appointment after and finally got my diagnosis. It took me long time to get the courage to go to the VA. I started my claim to help me get motivated to go and finally get help. I went and was prescribed BUPROPION HCL and TRAZODONE HCL. I was diagnosed with Adult victim of sexual abuse during military service (SCT 718495005), Chronic post-traumatic stress disorder (SCT 313182004), Generalized anxiety disorder (SCT 21897009), Mild alcohol dependence (SCT 713583005), Severe major depression with psychotic features (SCT 73867007) and Sleep disorder (SCT 39898005). I added all of this to my claim. When I added it, it was already at the decision phase. Once they received my new information they went back to the gathering phase. I went to the Regional Office and got a copy of my last C&P exam. This was before I submitted my diagnosis. They have that "The claimed condition was less likely than not (less than 50 percent) incurred in or caused by the claimed in-service injury, event or illness. provide rationale in section c. Since this C&P appointment, I turned in my VA mental health records, a statement from my brother and husband. I also have my statement as well. I talked to a VA rep and they said my claim went back into gathering evidence phase since I turned in my new information. They also said that they requested a DBQ for PTSD. I hope this is a good sign. Does anyone have any advice on what else I can do? Unfortunately, all my records were not found from 1998 in Bosnia.

  5. I am having trouble obtaining my service records from Bosnia. I was stationed at Fort Bragg and when deployed to Bosnia, I had sworn statements that were made and send to the Provost Marshall. I'm having difficulty locating those statements. This was in 1998. I requested for records thru CID, and DOD. No luck. Any suggestions?
  6. Glad things are working out for you. It's difficult to talk about sometimes and get to the root cause. Did you ever get a claim awarded?
  7. Thank you for the info. I guess I should give more info on what happened. He threatened me with a gun to "help him out" and when I left he threatened to harm me with his gun next to me if I told. He finished himself when I just froze and didn't know what to do. That memory haunts me every day. I saw on the overview that threatened was part of MST. Would this count under that?
  8. I just submitted my first claim for PTSD from MST. When I was overseas, I was on guard duty was an infantryman. When in a guard tower, he exposed his penis and started playing with it. He was looking at me and wanted to me "help" him out. We were locked and loaded so I was fearful on what this man was going to do next. I just froze. I told his SGT and he was detained and sent back to garrison. The rules changed and I was looked at a different way since the incident. There was no touching but this incident has impacted my life and my sense of security. I'm fearful of everything and what's worse is that it's now effecting my children and my marriage and that's why I'm now filing. I haven't talked about it openly with my friends and now I'm expected to talk about it with a stranger for my c&p appointments? Any advice on what to expect and how long the whole process take.
