  1. For sure I am 100% SC P&T ! Ischemic heart disease was the last one for 100% (100% just for the heart diease) . I previously already had 50% for hearing (40%) and tinnitus (10%) .
  2. Yes I'm 100% P&T ,10% for tinnitus , 40% for hearing loss & 100% for Ischemic heart disease. All SC .The award letter (received Sept. 5th 2019) say's they will schedule says they will re-exam me between April & October 2020 !!!
  3. I'm 100% SC P&T . Can they reduce the payment amount after they re-examination . They scheduled me for re-examination when I was awarded the 100% SC P&T . I did try searching for an answer .
  4. I have a C&P exam interview next week and a electrocardiogram in 2 weeks for heart disease . I am boots on the ground A recent CT scan & an MRI of my chest (both at a VA hospital) the reports say "patent major vasculature , atherosclerotic disease " & in the brain "periventricular white matter hypodensity suggestive of chronic microvascular disease" . Also "thoracic aorta and great vessels : Atherosclerosis" . "Heart and pericardium : Severe coronary artery calcification". I also have several VA reports showing my METS level to be <4 . I was given a nuclear stress test last year and the report said my LVF was 70% . This seems to contradict the METS of <4 ??? I have not yet been to see the VA cardiologist but an appointment is scheduled next month , at my request . I am presently taking no meds for heart disease except aspirin . I was previously given a prescription for nitrostat from a private doctor 8 years ago because i was having chest pains then . I rarely have them now . The script has long ago expired but I have evidence of it . I have printed these test reports using the myhealthyvet site . I asked my VSO if they were submitted with the claim and he said no but they could access these thru the VA . Somehow this worries me that they won't see these . Questions 1 : Will I be able to show these to the examiner at the interview and will these be part of the evidence used in my disability determination ? 2 : What can I expect to be granted for disability rating . Presently I'm receiving 50% (actually 40% +10% = 46% = 50% ). Please give any advice you can as we can use the money in our present financial condition . Jim G.
  5. I plan to file this week . Thank you for the helpful information !
  6. Thank you so much Buck 52 and all others that may help me !
  7. I don't know if I need to do anything else before I file ? Do I need more medical reports or just rely on what I have (above in original post) ? What all should I file for ? Should I use a VSO like the American Legion or DAV . I'm afraid I'll get this wrong . I need this for my wife so she would be eligible for DIC as my health is not the best . We aren't well off and she will need it . I have an operation scheduled soon and I need to file this first . Please help if you or anyone else can provide guidance .
  8. I have had a recent CT scan (at the VA ) of my chest , and the report says: "Thoracic aorta and great vessels : Atherosclerosis " also "Heart and pericardium : Severe coronary artery calcification". also "Patent major vasculature, with atherosclerotic disease". And a CT scan of my head (at the VA ), and the report says : "There is deep and periventricular white matter hypodensity suggestive of chronic microvascular disease". I am hoping to file for AO IHD . So what if anything do I file for and what other medical information do I need before I file ? Do I file now ?I appreciate any and all advice . I am 50% SC for hearing (40%) and tinnitus (10%) . I have ulcerative colitis and severe COPD and on oxygen .I am "boots on the ground ".
