  1. I have a claim going on a new presumptive. I called the VSO on that today. He had news on the HLR instead and told me the IU went thru. Some VSO's have some special arrangement and they can give you information that you haven't seen on ebenefits yet. I still have a notice that my IU is under HLR. You might give your VSO a call, he might have good news for you.
  2. My HLR started on Sept. 21st., no news yet. I'm 60% on one condition. My VSO claims they made a mistake when they denied me.
  3. Seems like these opinions they request are to delay decisions. They ask for opinions which in my case my VA doctor or my primary care physician never expressed. That sort of eliminates my VA doctor, since supposedly they're not allowed to write anything for you that has anything to do with decision on a claim, which leads me to the question below. Would a veteran still need a IMO for a newly added presumptive condition because of AO while stationed in Danang Vietnam in 1970?
  4. Called one of the numbers pacmanx1 gave me and they told the notification that I had been granted sc for ptsd was void since they had given me anxiety disorder since February 2013. Thing is they reopened my appeal on June 2018 and took almost 2 years to reverse the original decision and granted me service connection all for naught. Very disheartening. VBA shouldn't be posting those hurtful notifications if they're not valid.
  5. LOL. that's exactly the feeling I got after I called them twice. I'll place a call to those numbers you gave me and see if they give me a positive explanation on the matter. I feel like I was left out in the cold. At my age I need to know if I need to proceed with alternate plans for my wife. pacmanx1 I thank you for your service. Have a nice Veterans Day.
  6. The following notifications were on my VA.gov when I accessed it to refill prescriptions in May of 2020: Your authorization review claim Your claim decision is ready We finished reviewing your claim on March 11, 2020. We sent you a packet by U.S. mail that includes details of the decision on your claim. Please allow 7 to 10 business days for your packet to arrive before contacting a VA call center. If you haven't received the packet with the full details of your claim decision yet, you can see your rating by going to your disability page in eBenefits. Check your disability page in eBenefits for your rating. Disability compensation appeal updated on November 25, 2015 Status: The Veterans Benefits Administration granted your appeal issue on appeal Issue on appeal: Service connection, Post-traumatic stress disorder Submitted on: February 25, 2013 Appeal received February 2013 Current status The Veterans Benefits Administration granted your appeal The Veterans Benefits Administration agreed with you and decided to overturn the original decision. If this decision changes your disability rating for eligibility for VA benefits, you should see this change made in 1 to 2 months. This appeal is now closed issues: Service connection, Post-traumatic stress disorder Granted ("Granted") in green Peggy claims to know nothing on this matter, so I'm sittin here speculating with no packet, no correspondence whatsoever. I have a feeling the RO is under some directive from above to look ignorant of the matter.
  7. I contacted the RO and they told me they knew nothing about the claim. I sent them a letter with copies of the notification I received on VA.gov. Ten days later I called again to ask if they received the letter. They said they hadn't. The post office never returned that letter to me. Did the same thing by sending that letter to Janesville. They answered that they had received my claim for the "Freedom of information". I hadn't even filed such claim. All I wanted was a clarification of what was going on and wanted to know the content of the decision letter. Have not received anything in regards to closing of the appeal having been granted service connection for PTSD on a claim since February of 2013.
  8. Why might a veteran never have gotten the decision letter on a reversal on a claim that had been denied on service connection on PTSD?
