  1. Another option is a wrist device also available through the VA. MyCala.com for more on how to start a therapy session or contact Customer Care at 888-699-1009 or email us at Email Address Redacted. We are available Monday through Friday, 5AM to 4PM Pacific Standard Time.
  2. Good news, approved for treatment through the VA at Barrow Institute in Phoenix. Meanwhile had the procedure done in California and it was very successful. Went off Primidone totally. The claustrophobia was manageable and can write and eat again with no problems. 3. Thanks, I'll check that out. I wasn't told why it was denied and the VA neurologist didn't say. I'm planning to use my other health insurance to have it done in January. I can update if anyone is interested.
  4. The CPT code for the Focused Ultrasound treatment is 0398T. The descriptor is Magnetic resonance image guided high intensity focused ultrasound (MRgFUS), stereotactic ablation lesion, intracranial for movement disorder including stereotactic navigation and frame placement when performed. When speaking with your insurance provider, offering both the CPT code along with the treatment descriptor will be helpful to them.

  6. Here's more information about the treatment https://www.barrowneuro.org/about/news-and-articles/patient-stories/barrow-surgeon-treats-essential-tremor-with-focused-ultrasound/ Looking forward to eating without spilling and shooting sports again.
  7. My neurologist has submitted the request. Actually, he's the one who brought it up and I planned to go to Ocean Coast Medical Center in January but that location was denied. How to I find an approved facility? The procedure can be done at several locations in the US. https://www.fusfoundation.org/the-technology/treatment-sites/?country=United States&indication=Essential Tremor&usState=AZ
  8. I'm searching for where to go for Neuravive Treatment. I remember seeing it available through the VA in several states but I can't find the information on the Web. Community Health has denied my request for treatment at the Ocean Coast Medical Center in Fountain Valley, California. I'm currently in New Mexico. Any ideas how to find that information?
