  1. I have been going to all my MH appts. I have asked my supervisor, instead of writing me up or sending me home from work again, can he please write the va and give a report or eval on my job performance. I really want to keep my job. It is the only thing I have left. I am sure that my employer is very tired of me and this problem. That is what I want the va to know. It is very difficult to go to work everyday, I am tired and feel drugged all the time.

  2. Hello to all. I have a question. I just got a letter in the mail from the VA saying I was going to be scheduled for a C&P exam for my SC disability (ptsd). This will be a exam to re evaluate my current level of disability. I am currently 70% ptsd, 10% tennitus, 10% hand. I received my initial rating for ptsd in sep 06. What is this about?

I filed a claim for GERD and was denied, the mailbox had both denial letter and ptsd re exam. Does this happen to anyone else?

Iam on a whole lot of meds...trazadone, lorazapan, quietpine, sertaline, prozasin...any help or suggestions will help my anxiety levels

  3. Hi all and first , thanks for reading my post and if you have any comments, double thanks. I returned from Iraq in 05, went to the va with stomach problems {burning all the time}. I was given a Upper GI, doc said I had a small ulcer, was scheduled for a endoscope, which finally happened today,{3yrs later}. The report said I have a "small linear ulcer in distal esophagus, hiatal hernia, reflux was apparent in the esophagus" I am rated vetran now. However, I heard if I opened a new claim, that I could be re evaluated on other issues that I already have a rating for. I am not sure if I want to go thru all of that again, but, with what the doc stated on the report today, should I open a claim, and what should I Claim? I am kinda new to all this, do each of his findings warrant a seperate claim, or is it inclusive? As I said, I reported it to the va as soon as i was discharged in 05, and was immediately put on meds and upper GI performed, so it is service connected, IMO.

  4. As i said, I am new so I dont want to offend or do anything wrong on this board. Thank you for your advice and your interest. I am trying to do the best I can. I am always very tired and groggy, in a fog seems like, and it is very difficult at work. I have no personal relationships, even with my mom and dad. I am not married and have no one to talk to. I feel I need to work as I dont have anything else. I used too, but not since I got back. Could you tell me, If I were to write what I feel like..day to day, and give that to my doc. Is that ok? I mean i have a hard time expressing how i feel inside, so when the question is asked how i am doing, it is easier just to say ok, or better. i feel like she will try and pry into an area I really dont want to go. I understand it is their job, but I really feel uncomfortable talking about my feelings. I feel that if I tell her, they will lock me up or something. I feel very depressed and down all the time. I have tried to manage my "routine" of drugs, I hate it. 1 sertraline in the morning along with omeprazole, than at noon, a quetrapine, then at dinner another omeprazole, then before bed 2 trazadone. Sometimes i feel very frustrated and pissed, so i take a lorazapam. So my days are very slow and foggy. Just tired of it. So like I said, do you think it is ok to write down my feelings of my days and give it to the doctor, or that not protocol?

  5. If you have the got time and resources; I would advise you to definately pursue any SC condition you have; regardless of what you are SC'd with already. I have a esopegal ulcer claim appeal pending also. I have bad acid reflux and I have had repeated (6) EDG's over the past 7 years with excess stomach acid stemming from PTSD and am on Prevacid daily. I am SC'd for PTSD also at 30%; with a GAF score of 32. My GAF was 45 at the time of my rating. I have a NOD for an increase on that too. Hoping to correct that injustice on this pending NOD. Good Luck and God Bless

what is an EDG...is it a endoscopy? I was discharged on a medical 18 1/2 yrs. I have a CAB and ARCOM/v Device. On my initial visit I told the doc I have had problems while in Iraq with my stomach, he had me do the upper GI and noted that it was consistent with Esophealgitis with a small ulcer at the GE junction. Does that make any sense? He ordered a endoscopy and told me the people would contact me which they never did, so a year later he ordered anoth, so I guess maybe I will wait to see if they call... Meanwhile I have been takin omeprozole or something like that 2 times a day. i really have a problem with this GERD or what ever it is, waking me up at night big time. Sometimes choking..and it almost doesnt matter what I eat. Now, I am kinda worried that since my other doc says I am getting better with my ptsd, they will reduce my benefits. I didnt know they could do that. Thanks for your advice.

  6. hi all, new guy to the forum, OIF2 vet. I have a couple of questions to ask someone in the know. First, I am thinking about persuing a claim for Esophagitis. I had a Barium UGI done last year and my primary doc at the VA noted that I had this problem plus a tiny ulcer??? He ordered supossedley a endoscopy. He told me they would contact me. I never heard from them. I went in for another visit last week, and he again ordered a endoscopy along with a TBI(different deal), he also ordered another visit to audiology (I have already been rated 10 % for tinnitus) plus the usual blood work. If the doctor already noted on his notes that this problem exist, and i was treated for it within the 1 year rule of being discharged, can it be considered service connected. And if anyone has experience in this area, I would really appreciate some advice.

Second I have been SC for PTSD (70%), I have been seeing my Doc at mental health, and decided to get her notes while waiting to see my primary doc. She has noted the past 2 times that I am "getting better" and my GAF was noted at 63. Previously, I was seeing another Doc,(He moved away) and he was rating my GAF at 45-50. I was given a rating of 70% PTSD. I have been on quietpine, sertaline trazadone, and lorazapam. Now when I take all of these meds, obviously I feel drugged, not myself, which is good in itself, ( I feel alot of rage, guilt and anxiety). Granted I only see the doc for less than 15 minutes and it never really gets personal, so how can he come to a descision of the GAF at that moment?

Back to the TBI, my primary wants me to get evaluated for this, and wants me to (Re-live events), and I am not too sure i want to go there.
