  1. I first filed my orginal claim for ssdi in april 08 got denied june 08, filed for reconsideration in july 08 and denied in Feb 09 during reconsideration hired allsup, refiled for alj hearing in march 09 and was approved on the record in august 09 onset date was june 07
  2. Thank you all for the information, parts of it were helpful but some were incorrect. Just to clarify just in case someone is asking the same questions as myself that they dont get the wrong answer. If you get approved for ssi and it does take time you will get your backpay in payments now if you get approved for ssdi your backpay is made in one lump payment. I called ss this morning to double check just so that i wasnt expecting the wrong information. Also allsup is paid by myself not social security, they do it different than a regular attorney because according to them it will hold up the payment if they try to get paid first, they are constantly checking on my ss account and when funds are released they call me and check to see if it is in my bank account and then they withdrawl their fee thank you all sara
  3. I got an on the record decision on the 6th of August and my case went into the payment center on the 7th, I have not received my award letter as of yet and have called social security and get all different answers which are 30days to 90days. I know that if you collected ssi, it takes longer or if ss has to pay your attorney it takes longer as well. I used allsup which was awesome and i found out that I pay them when I get my back pay their fee comes out of my bank account I am trying to figure out about when I will get my first check an back pay. I am suppose to get ssdi check on the 4th wed of every month and my back pay is almost 2 years. I am trying to get a rough idea from personal experience if anyone can help that would be great thank you sara
  4. Thank you all for the help and support hope I am able to help others as well
  5. Finally recieved my on the record decision from social security, got favorable decision! Filed orginally of april 08. They went back to june 2007 so I should recieve back pay from dec to current. does anyone know how long it takes to recieve your first check and back pay, called today and ss doesnt see how much i am getting a month yet they state there are two things pending in the payment center but that is it
  6. I am writing not sure what to do now, I just got my first denial from ss stating that my condition is not severe enough to keep me from working. I am 100% PTSD with depressive features from the VA it was awarded in 2006 backdated till 2004. It has been marked as total service-connected disablity, permanent in nature never to be reviewed. I was award this due to a sexual assualt that happened while in the military. I have a outside dr that will state that I am unable to work and I have not worked in over a year. I filed a 2nd appeal but just am stunned that I was denied it took me 10 years to get a 100% rating and just to get the Va to admit that I was sexually assualted. I wrote my senator and congressman to help me with my last claim with the VA. where do I go now and what happens on the 2nd appeal.
