I'm an Air Reserve Technician (ART) with 28 years in the Reserves. With the medical retirement from the Reserves, I am also being forced to Retire from Civil Service. (They go hand-in-hand). I am presently working on getting my rating increased.

If you are member of the Guard or Reserve and you are medically retired for a service-connected disability, will you receive your retirement pay on the effective date of your retirement? Or do you have to wait until age 60?
