Actually, be careful with that calculation. I have found that they do not increase the dependant rate... so if you have additional dependants calculate the base rate (with spouse and child or whichever is applicable) then just add the additional rates that you get. for example I am 50% with 4 dependants. I get 50% for with dependant (with spouse and child or applicable) plus $35 for each additional child under 18. $850 is the base rate (multiply this by 1.058) then add your additional rate for each additional dependant. (for me this would be $850 * 1.058 + 70) = $969. This is a $49 increase for me vs. $53 increase if you multiply the entire thing. Don't forget that the VA rounds down on the multiplier. I know it is only $4 but it can be misleading.
