  1. thank you for that info. I am really learning a lot on this board. I never knew what i was getting into with this VA thing im just glad i found hadit to help along the way.
  2. im sorry about the incorrect info John you are right that is what i was told my by friend and that is why she told me to to file as soon as i got home.
  3. I was told by someone who works in the va claims department in Oh that the longer you been out of service the longer you have to wait because it takes longer to retrive your files. I don't know how true that is. And to your question Pilgrim My only complain with that office is i had to send my medical records to them three times because one time they said that they never received it. and after i got my rating they sent a copy of my medical records back saying i sent to many copies. Wil you be treated at the va hospitail in hampton VA cause i heard horror stories about them.
  4. sorry correction i was discharged march 5, filed claim by the end of march.
  5. i also went through the VA office in Roanoke VA and i filed my claim March5 2008 had my examine in May and rating in hand sept. 29. 2008. It was at the rating board for about a month i called once a week faithfully from March till i got the letter. so hopefully you will not have to wait much longer.
  6. My dd214 states Uncharacterized entry level spe. reason because of erroneous entry(other) i am curently 10% for my knee and )5 for both my ankles. i meant 0% for my ankles
  7. does this also mean that the military falsified legal documents.
  8. I found it. I just found my examine from meps that states i went in the military with normal arches. good thing i keep everything. so whats my next step now.
  9. I have all record from the day i step foot in great lakes will i need to go back to get my records from meps.
  10. hello i have been reading these boards for a while now and i really need help. i received my rating decision in sept. of 08 in the rating decision that rated me non ratable for pes planus because of an erroneous entry. I have never had flat feet Pryor to going into the military i was in the culuniary field in which i had to stand on concrete floor for hours at a time. i went to see a Veterans claims representive and he told me that if i could find docementation stating no pryor flat feet to let him know. i went back in and relooked at all my medical records fromm boot camp because i nvere graduated. and i found that on an exaime on feburay 1st that the doctor noted no fallen arches. i called the va rep back and he was telling me to just wait till my first va doctors appointment and tell the doctor thier about this. but i know there must be something i can do now because they have me with coming into the military like this and that is a lie. I really belive that this happened because i told the doctors in bootcamp that i got hurt in here i wanted to go home because they could not tell me if i would ever heal and they just found the first thing to get me out. Please if someone can help me. I just want to be healed nothing more nothing less. i just want to be who i was beofre i went in.
  11. thanks for the info. I have tried chapter 31 and got denied. I am goign to the VA next week to get my VIC card and make an appointment. So once i get more medical evidence i will go back to have my rating looked at again.
  12. did not go through anything at discharge just got my papers sign and waiting for my dd-214 and was sent back home. too about two weeks to process me out.
  13. Hello all I have been reading through these threads for a few days and have not seen any one on here with my same situation. So here is my story I entered Navy boot camp last December and was separated In March of this year. While in boot camp I got injured. The doctor told me i had 6 stress fractures.after this i started having problems with knee they also told me i have flat feet which i never knew. After being on medical hold i returned back to a division for a weekend and i was told i will have to go back to medical hold because my knee worsen. I ended up getting medical separated for flat feet. after i put up a fight because they where not sure how long it will take me to fully heal. i was told by someone that i should file a claim with the va because when i returned home i walked with a limp and could not walk or stand for 5 mins with out needed to rest. i was awarded 10% for knee pain and 0 for both left and right tibial stress reaction which the c&p doctor calls posteerior tibialis tendinitis. which all are service connected. I am not trying to beat the system or anything i know techinially speaking i never became a sailor. All i really want is medicial help so i can go back to doing the things i love in life which is cooking which i also have a degree in. My knee is still in constant pain i can not wear shoes most days of the week because it causes my feet to sweell and hurt. I still can not walk or stand for long with out rest. when i say long i mean your avergae 5 - 10 min. When i went to the C&p exmam the doctor look at me as if i was lying when i told him the promblems but with out any medical eveidence besides my boot camp records its hard to do anything. I did not have any health insurance and i just found out that i can start going to see my knee. any advice on what else i can do to help me. Like i said all i really want is to be able to do the simple things and be able to fully persue my cooking and right now i can't do that.
