Hello, Im not sure if this is right section, Mods if its not can move my thread please to spot where I can get some, Help cause really, trully need help and some fellow Vets advice here please. I also Know im Mess to read here so bare with me please. I have not posted in long time i have 8 medical conditions total, just had 2 surgeries, I receive SSDI and im 100% service connected for disablities both of body and mentally. They did proposed incomptency, I waived it said make my mother the payee to speed up as you recall, then the VA sent out Field examiner after he spoke to my mother and myself he came to conclusion , I can pay my own bills by check and bank debit cards monthly. However the VA set me up on Supervised Pay this has 3 years total window for me to overturn my Incomptency rateing, otherwise at end of 3 years they will set up payee for me which if came to would be my mother or Brother. I dont want to Burden them Nor do I need this I cook, clean, make Lists of food, supplies, tolietries, cat food, dog food etc, Budget, save reccepits for all, have bank statements, go shoping, cleaning etc, plus go to my 15-20 doctor appointments a month. MY question to you all is Beyond have my Pysch doctors sign offical letter that can handle my own affairs, should I start every Psych appointment month going over my bills, bringing in recepits copies of my bank statements, can show them online with quicken on laptop how spend my money, that way hopefully doctors after doing this for few monthes to 6 monthes will sign doctors notes saying im comptent , they can start process to restore my rights and remove the incomptency from me. Now should cover myself futher have landlord, friends, family, bank etc all sign statements that pay my bills always and never forget, futhermore should go over with pych doctors monthly beyond what said would do basic and advanced math to show them im itelligent really good at math and anal at keeping receipts. I have heard to many horror stories of vets haveing payee's non family if something happend to my mother or brother never would be to trust another person for one thing would want them to report to me daily how my money funds are being spent. I need advice please step by step what is best way to get my new doctors cause I moved to new city to be closer to family 4 monthes ago and new VA, How to begin process of geting doctors on my side, should have as stated family, friends, landlord etc all write letters. Only reason they Flagged me to begin with was cause have Chrons Disease,sleep apnea,Gerd,Ulcertive Coltis, chronic adominal pain , PST,Anxiety disorder,Biopolar but most of all DID-Disaccotive Identity Disorder in past had amensia , and time loss, However with Hypnothesis from private doctor cause VA doesnt do that, They are working on Mergeing DID into 1, takes long long time to do, But always, always pay bills day their due, dont ever forget, again DID disorder got me flagged, so how do prove to doctors start to reverse this what is best course my clock is ticking I have about 2 years left on Incomptency rateing with supervised pay meaning im handling my own funds, or at end they appoint payee for me, wont put my family thru that, and most of all myself, I may have all my Ilness However, have my Intergrity still wanna retain it , would never mental home or nurseing home, Have many hobbies enjoy last year since got my money my quality of life, has changed for the better. Now have some my self esteem back im still disablled but im coming to terms with it, now can afford to have some my old and new hobbies to keep my mind active. I can use some advice on best way to reverse incomptency Know its get doctors to sign letters but should i over next 4-6 monthes go over bills with my mental health doctors so they see, and understand and feel comfortable writeing letter for me that im comptent so can get this dam thing reversed I try not to think about it , But Incomptency makes me mad as hell, cause if you knew me, would Know pay every bill day its due and never fail to, I know reading my mess of bad writeing it does not do me justice but again if knew how keep recepits,budget etc. Please give me advice

are farr as me working again Carlie, Its More Dream Like all Vets with tons of medical issues, I dont think No matter how much you accept all your medical issues, come to terms, accept etc. I think its Human Nature to wanna dream 1 day you can return to have Career even if its in differnt field then what you had intended before you got disabbled. Have said that Their are so many Loops with me to actualy work again its not even funny, You would have to find prefect Career that accepts all your medical condtions, Dont think their is such Job that would torelate all doctor appointments, side effects, Mood, swing, depression, chonric pain, PSTD, on on. When said Nothing Scares me that Im fearless, 1 thing does Geting Cancer back, Not being to see my Girls get married finish college etc. I know one day when its meet to be and my time is up will, see My Brothers, who died once again had spent almost 75% of my Naval Career with as Special Forces Operators.

carlie, 1 last thing you and all here have been huge emotional help to me, to vent, learn, understand about the entire process. Im overjoyed for 1st time in years, have won Both. My Team never should gotten Radation Posion from the Tactical Nuke, with our TLD's on us Light up Like xmas tree, where, when, How, what country does not matter Im proud to have served Im 1 of 3 us left other 5 died due to this. My condtions Listed arent even whole story , due to all sports Played before Miltary and due to what I did, I have Broken almost even Bone in My Body, Blown Out both Knee's, Been Shot, Have part of IED still in my shoulder to near heart could not get rest of it out. I spent 3 years going on and off for Cancer Treatment almost died Knock On wood its Been in Remission for 41 monthes Now. Untill have battled Chemo for 3 years straight it was worse then being shot, IED and all my Injuries. I had to get Bone Marrow Transplant that saved me or be dead. http://www.moffittcancercenter.org/ The Amazeing Hospital that Saved me was their for 3 years pretty Much their 1 of best in country While have all these disabblities looming over them all is fact cancer could come back, Way I look at it, I need to make Most of God saving me all these times, so No Matter if Live 3 years more or 1 or 10 I need to get back to Old me step feeling sorry for myself their other Vets Out their Just as Bad or worse then me. But while im Overjoyed im also annoyed just how silly whole thing is Comptency thing is. So again sorry if somehow I offended you, Your Honored Your Country as rest of us have, I would Not spend all this time typeing On sheer amount of Meds Im on daily, just to waste time, so cant fiquire out why you thought this was some type joke. Trust me I KNow on all Meds Im on How Bad, really bad my typeing is and how hard to read my rambling is, so again im very sorry. My total Meds I take day is now , changes some from month to month is now 28 Prescritpion total a day some those meds take 2-4 times day at 2-4 pills each, also get Remicade Infusion IV for rest my life as well. So again Im so sorry Carlie for causeing any stress. Once every 2 years we the 3 survivors go see families of rest of our team that died, we realize that in us being blessed in aloud to surive and live, also meet they had to die, their is Moment that goes By that dont wish it was Me that died instead of 1 them , Like me they all Had Children, wifes , 2 had GF's we had done Hundreds of Opps Together, we all Knew Risk when we signed up, But does Not Mean that im still Haunted by what Happend. Like me the other 2 that lived, are haunted by it, in addition to all medical issues they both had cancer as well, I spoke to them week ago, and we all agreed we go see the families this xmas again, we also all agreed as we once did we would push each other to live our lives as we once did, stop feeling , Pity and PSTD and blame ourselves for not dieing instead of them. They Told Me I should go to Oregon, My 2 daughters Live in Alameda,CA so would be close to them. Only way will go is if My mother agrees to go with, However she is Not well, would wanna be to spend time with her, have her see my girls. My Mother Like all great mothers, always jokes when you say you worried about her and health issues, she says to me, kinda kidding so I dont worry about her that she might outlive me with all My medical issues.

I have wanted to Move to Oregon for like 12 years. I am being real with you, Geting this Money is start of me of haveing my Life back to semi Normal being to have social Life once again, and my family I have wanted to head out to Oregon to start my Life anew even with all my Disabblities. One My Favorite movies , was Stephen Kings Shawshank Redemption. The Line in Movie where he says get Busy Living or get Busy dieing can hold true to real Life. For Years Normally im very Confident have self estem, dignity,self respect ,Intregrity but for years as my Health, Medical condtions worsened I became depressed. You are right about Money Only coming once as farr as retro backpay. I can Choose to Live where Im Very, Very Unhappy with all my medical condtions , Or can Move to place have dreamt of moveing for years, Try to Live my life best can with my Disabblitys. Im just wondering if maybe im over thinking this meaning, How much weight does social worker assesment carry? I mean can she come here, see im paying all bills online have 2 computers, check my bank account like email daily, and that Im buying Car, have credit card bills other bills I pay myself then, she see's that cook, clean, do all, keep planner to pay bills , doctor appointments. What asking is could social worker come out, with all that in Mind and say this guy doesnt need Payee that is joke or is Fact she comeing out is her outcome already deterinmined meaning , their set to force incomptency thing for VA again with SSD saying can handle my own money, have mother, brother all saying can, and legally saying can How does VA On 1 Quack Mentaly Exam BY My New 26 Year old Pych Doctor who himself is totally incomptent and worst doctor ever seen at VA. Ive had Incredible doctors at VA and Medicore and Idiots doctors, this doctor is 1 that falls in the Latter.

SSD-SSI award looks like I will get them 1st LOL, they just got filled 60 days after VA did, Furthmore the entire amount their are not requesting Payee for me, Meaning I can Handle my Own Money, which is Great as im comptent But what does this do to VA proposed Incomptency if going to pay all my bills on my Own, How do they assign Payee with that In mind? New Questions I need advice , If get SSD money 1st im very much thinking of moveing out of this Hell Hole with it out of state to Oregon I live in Florida atm.For my 3 college degree's even in this bad job market all 3 degree's are IT-Programming In Oregon the country is so pretty, outdoors, plus have busy northwest cities and lots of Tech companies. it Turns Out SSD-SSI Award is not requireing me to have payee.So guess I Probally get this award 1st maybe now Unless VA speeds up? Question is this is so dumb its Not funny im just venting SSD-SSI award will get 1st and it was approved 60 days after and they arent requireing me to have payee for any of it. So here is Million Dollar question If SSD-SSI views me as Comtent and Im Comptent in Court of Law But VA rules me Proposed Incomptency Does VA have leg to stand on? Furthmore I have Concealed weapons Permit, and Own Guns so again if im comptent in court of law and for social secuirty but VA goes thru with this tempoary Proposed incomptency since had my guns before they rulled and court of law and social secuirty considers me comptent, would be to keep my guns still? Also Im looking for Career in IT-Programming out in Oregon to relocate their as soon get my money.I have my resume's on Monster, graigs list etc. Oregon is Amazeing to live its North west so have CA and washington next to it, canda above, its Technolgy main 3 states, so 1 reason wanna move their 2nd is all natural nature, river fresh water etc. Now if get My SSD-SSI money 1st and move out to Oregon will VA here for my social work assesment send social worker out to Oregon, so can get money realeashed to me? Or my Payee. Furthmore Since I will get SSD money 1st looks like their giveing it to me, and im looking for career out their, and paying all bills includeing buying new car cash, 6 monthes rent ahead etc, Would VA just cave at that point in 3-4 monthes fiquire since im paying most bills, have credit cards etc its pointless to have someone else payee do it. As you Know Ive made clear have no issue with my mother to start as payee, or Myself as payee with Mother and Brother Loren as supervisors. Just seems like total shame to waive comptency for VA to speed up money paid to Mother then day get Money have my mother and me reverse the process.

im not upset at all at my mom being payee, just at her Age was hopeing to not have to Burden her with her medical issues she is almost 74 still working as IT Adminstrator in Telecommuncations they get bought out like every year or 2 then new Owners Bring in their people and if your over 40 years old considered old , so its Testament to How good My mother is at it that she is still their. My mother has 2 Masters Degree's Pych and Computer Eng IT she got the 2nd degree when she was 45 years old . she was school teacher for 24 years before that. MY mother has been my rock she had to Pay half my bills last 4 years, Plus on top of that Allision My Niece My mother is Grandmother of and mother and legal guardian she has raise allision alone without mother or father all her life, paid for allison to go to private high school, her car payement, paino lessons, soccer etc , Allision is now 19 and my mother is Now helping her Thru college pay for college her dorm all. So My mother is Like world's best mother to me, she never remarried when my Father who was Adimstration Law Judge, then Lawyer she divorced him, when we were little cause his running around town partying. I just wanna make Money wise and stress wise my mothers years left as easy as possible, wanna be to pay for stuff for her, pay her back even know she never would ask me to, she has alot medical issues to yet she been Rock for our family geting thru all.

I live In Motel room with full size fridge have lived in this hell Hole for last 3 years cause they take rent vouchers which have no run out, and mother paid other half. So eviction laws dont apply to me. Im happy as Hell claim wise was geting zero Im at 90 service connection compensation with retrobackpay tons, now SSD-SSI with backpay when get either money let alone both be set, Plus have those last 6 medical condtions still on appeal to BVA so should get to 100% within next year or 2 max. But my Happiness is tampered by this government screw around due to comptency mess and delay of geting my money maybe soon homeless with my 2 cats. Could I luck out their expditeing my SSD-SSI could Luck out get that money before VA Compensation retro backpay? And if so could I luck out have social secuirty not need a payee?

To Add Insult to Injury found out today SSD Case was won with 4 years backpay for that, But like VA Case claim will have to go thru long Comptency Dance, thus Im about to be homeless with my 2 cats as of Saturday. VA is aware homeless as of Saturday with my 2 cats. However my case is already expidited, expidted Hardship claim, However due to comptency Circle Jerk I am being Told 60-75 days for my mother to get set up as payee at very Least. Worst of all have Signed Doctor Note By Primary Care Doctor and Mother that I am 100% comptent and able to handle my own money. Mothers Note states for last 4 years as Ive Been sick, sicker she deposits money in my bank account monthly and I pay bill with it for other half of Rent, rent vouchers didnt cover etc, cat food, tolietries etc Then from my bank Pay bills online with my bank debit card. So Does it Make sense why My Primary doctor note and mothers not dont Just get Money realsed asap with my hardship claim, Should they not make me comptent and make this whole process over? Need some help im so Depressed over about to be homeless even worse then me being homeless what do I do with my 2 cats I love dearly their like my kids to me, I would Die before I would Lose them.

I Am at crossroads already signed statement saying im comptent but waive it and wanna assign my mother payee to speed it up for my money. But just found out if do that it still could be 21-90 days or so to get money. Berta, thank you You understand that I waived my Comptency right? To speed it up so does what you posted still apply? Yo be clear im saying im comptent but I wanna say for moment im incomptent and assign my mother the payee. Do Realize they have to interview her before issue money. What im Most worried about is if it takes 4 monthes, and takes as long as it would taken for me to fight the Comptency, If that Happens I will Be Pissed to be blunt cause I am 100% comptent, Only reason waiveing it to speed up geting the Money. If win will get SSD However to start to pay off rent vouchers 36 monthes, they give you SSI as well just to start SSI covers rent vouchers cost, and get some left from SSI then they stop you get all SSD backpay minus lawyer fee. That is what my Lawyer told me, My social worker and Have had friends get SSD and SSI in that way that got both to start to pay of rent vouchers. Maybe do it differnt its in the agreement Social services has with social secuirty. Cause they Social service the state are not aloud to touch your SSD money per month even with 3 years backpay they cant touch 1 penny of it. Only way they get all 36 monthes rent voucher repaid is When get SSI with Higher SSD moneies. But then SSI stops like 1st to 2nd month you get Money the SSD backpay they stop it when social services signs off they got all their rent voucher money back understand? So They get all their money back for sure they have agreement between them and social secuirty to award SSI with SSD. Again You get all backpay for Both Rent vouchers 36 monthes -Max comes from SSI then get what is left of the SSI -only its why they give you both to start. SSD money Lawyer cut comes out then get what left for backpay. then in 1-2 monthes they stop SSI payments to you when social services signs off they got all rent voucher money back understand?
