  1. Read this in another forum and I am not sure if it is true or not, so I decided to come to the experts here at Hadit. The question is, if you are SC let's say for High Blood Pressure and you have to take meds for the rest of your life in order to control it, do you rate 10% for this alone? I tried to do the research on this but came up blank.
  2. It figures. The VA does whatever it can to keep us veterans from receiving our dues. Why should Bilateral Tinnitus be any different from any other bilateral ratings for compensation? They always make an exception to the rule, as long as it's in their favor. B)
  3. I have been diagnosed with bilateral tinitus and was wondering if you can get the 10% X2 for the bilateral. I believe that I read something to that effect in this forum where bilateral tinitus at the 10% X2 was granted from the VA, since it is bilateral. I am currently receiving 10% X2 for bilateral knee athritis so shouldn't that be the case also for the tinitus. B) I have already filed for tinitus, but not for bilateral. Should I change the claim to bilateral? BTW, this forum is awesome and I just want to say thank you to you all and a special thank you to the Veterans who have served. The information that is shared here is priceless.
  4. What's up creatureman. Yes, you are going to forfeit the % of you rating from your retirement and receive that amount back from the VA which is going to non-taxable. It will show up on your RAS (much like the les) as VA waiver and the amount. You have up to a year to file additional claims and you will be surprised the things you find out about yourself physically wrong with you after you retire. Currently at 30% and looking at moving up to atleat around 80%. Remember the magic number is 50% to get the concurrent retired pay and compensation. Good luck. USMC ret. 21yrs.
