I was wondering what u need to do to get increase on ptsd rating. Im currently at 50%. Claim was filed Dec 09 and i feel my problems have increased since then. I must tell u my C&P exam was last Sept. My claim was only with the raters in Cleveland for 30 days before being sent to post-determination. Should i wait awhile or try to take action now TY for any input

Got my enevlope yesterday Was awarded 50% on ptsd claim filed in dec 09 so ive got some nice back pay coming. Only is i disagree they denied my claim for unemployability cause according to Social security disability im not. so im not sure if i should pursue that or be happy with what i got i think letter of award sounds a little funny sounds like i won a contest instead of bein in nam trying to survive

Don't sweat it. Time gaps are common with PTSD claims. It took me roughly 5 years before I could even begin to just think about seeking help for my experiences in Kosovo; it was another 5 before I finally reached out for assistance. I was service connected for PTSD shortly thereafter. The most important thing is to prove your stressor! Based upon what you wrote, it appears as though there might be some documentation. Just point the VA in the right direction, and they will get it!
