  1. Hello Again Stretch: I hope nobody will mind my reply here since it's a bit off Topic. But My grandfather was born in St. Paul and one of my great grandmothers was named Elizabeth Sasser. She married a James Langley. Jessie
  2. Hello again Hoppy, Thanks for your post. I am going to take your suggestion here and take the 1992 Exit Exam with us on the 30th when my son has an appointment with his Hem specialist. Only problem is trying to pin the DR down to ask a question. When we go in the first thing we do is a blood sample and if his Hematocrit is below 45 then my son will not need a Phlebtomy that day and we are then sent back out to make a follow up appointment, So unless there is a problem we never get to see the DR himself. And yes, I did check out the link to Metzger Law several months ago while i was researching the Benzene Link. I think it was his office that sent me a copy of an article from one of the Medical Journals that mentions my sons Polycythemia Vera and one they use in Litigations and have won cases with several times over. At this point we haven't considered filing a case with a Lawyer. So Sorry to hear that your Mother had this disorder. And your right there is no cure. Jessie
  3. Hello Allan: Thanks for your research post you have spent alot of time posting and researching, Sorry i didn't get right back to any of your post as i thought i would get an email telling me i had a reply!! Guess i'm still learning how to work this site!!! I'll commit later when i've had a chance to really read through. But thanks again for all your work!! Jessie
  4. Hoppy, Stretch and Don: Thanks for your replys, As i told Don [ in a private email] that i recently came across my son's exit exam of 1992 when he was discharged from the Navy and on this exam he had an elevated HCT [ Hematocrit] Level of 53.25 an indication that he had this bone marrow disorder when he was discharged. I think if i could get my hands on my son's Personel and Medical Service records i will find the answeres there. We have requested these record twice in the last 5 months and so far we haven't gotten them. I think as best as i can remember my son had to have a Hernia Repair done in the spring of 1991. I couldn't make the trip out when he had the surgery but was in contact with him via phone and he was quite upset and as he said he was bruised all the way down to his knees. As i look back now i believe he had at that time a major Bleeding episode, A complication of this disorder. When my son came home from the Navy i knew there were changes going on with him, As a mother who is also a nurse, I kept my eye's and ears open but I just didn't know what and could'nt explain what my usual mild mannered son could now become so irritably and angry at the drop of a hat. He was having other symptons also of headaches and what we know now were Anxiety and Panic attacts, His short term memory is totally gone. To get him to go see a Doctor was like pulling teeth. And never mention anything about going to the VA hospital or DR's for care!! He was convinced that they had bloched up his Hernia repair and he would never father a child. [ Needless to say he does have a son, now 8 years old]. I have ask his Hem Dr if he would write a statment with his opinon about his Cancer and Polycythemia being a result of his exposure to the Jet Fuel and long list of other Chemicals, But that went on deaf ears, So i guess if i am going to get a statement i'm going to have to pay for it!!! Anyway i am going to need some guiding through this process!!! Anyway, I gotta go. PS. Stretch. You have that you are in Western Arkansas, Where?? Not to get into Genealogy But.
  5. Hello and thanks for your reply: My son served in the Navy 1989-1992 as an avaition Structural Mechanic and was required to refuel Helicopters as they hovered over head. In 2002 he was diagnosed with 2 very Rare conditions, [ 1] Signet Ring Cell Adenocarcimoma Of the Appendix and [2] Polycythemia Vera [ A Bone Marrow Disorder].
  6. Has anyone here filed a claim for exposure to Jet Fuel?? What was the out come?? Would like to hear from you. My email address is <rjflet@mcmsys.com> Thanks, Jessie
