I went for the DRO Hearing today with my wife on the diabetes and PN claim. Horse trading was involved. I will be getting SC'ed for the polyneuropathy, but since I don't take meds for the DMII there is no way I will get an increase so I let that go. It does not mean a loss or gain of money but I wanted the polyneuropathy to be service-connected because if and when I have to start taking the meds for DMII I can reopen the claim and ask for an increase. The VAMC has done very little to moniter my DMII and nothing in the way of treatment. I have been using a private doctor to check my glucose levels and he says they are OK so far. I had already been denied by one DRO but I just kept at them and asked for the hearing. It worked and I would say to others to never give up until you have a face-to-face with the DRO. I still have a Sec 1151 out there.
