Jim-I guess you mean a DRO hearing?

I think you should focus on why they denied and have with you all evidence to support your claim.

If the last decision overlooked anything bring that evidence up in the hearing.

Also in all the time that has passed make sure you have current treatment records to.

I always suggest to get the stuff sorted into Tabbed manila folders.

Bring someone with you if you can- they can help hand you the specific folder that you need.

I also suggest having a page that has each folder identified-

like one for SOC, one for evidence,

one for current treatment records, and definitely anything from a doctor that supports your claim.

Also it pays to have the Schedule of ratings with you as to your specific disability- especially for increased comp and then to refer to the specific evidence you have that proves a higher award.

The DROs and HOs are often disabled vets themselves and there is nothing better than one to one contact to address the evidence.

GRADUATE ! Nov 2nd 2007 American Military University !

When thousands of Americans faced annihilation in the 1800s Chief

Osceola's response to his people, the Seminoles, was

simply "They(the US Army)have guns, but so do we."

Sameo to us -They (VA) have 38 CFR ,38 USC, and M21-1- but so do we.
