Hi,

I talked to the wife of a Vietnam Vet yesterday, and she knows nothing about how to get started with a claim. Should they talk to an SO first or should they send for his SMR's or what should be done first? Also, is there a list of presumative illnesses for VN vets?

They should get an SO and also they can get the SMRs at the NARA website.

Although this past post of mine is about Blue Waters- every link there should bring up the list of AO presumptives- try Cybersarge first as his site lists all of the STS cancers and his site has excellent Agent Orange info:

Thanks Berta for your quick response. Even though my husband is 100% TDIU, he was not vn veteran, so I did not know much about that topic.

I am surprised that I could not find the list here at hadit under the search-maybe I just didnt search correctly-
