Deferred And Confused

Rate this question

Question

I recently received a temporary rating of 100% as a result of surgery related to a service connected decision. Prior to this I had claims pending for depression and anxiety secondary to a service connected back condition and sinusitus. The same letter told me these were deferred but did not state for how long or why. The letter I recieved was from the DAV so it is not the official VA letter. Anyone have ideas as to what is going ob or what I can do?

I hope this is not getting posted twice but I did not see it anywhere. Bla, bla, bla. I recieved a letter today from the DAV saying I was granted my request for Temporary 100% as a result of a service connected surery. The letter also stated that two previous claims, one for depression and anxiety secondary to SC back and one for sinusitus had been deferred. I have no idea what this means , or why. Again the letter was from the DAV and not the VA, what should I do? What does this or could this mean?

It simply means that the claims have neither been approved or denied. They are waiting, probably until your surgery episode is complete, to take action on the claims. Just sit back enjoy the temp 100 percent and wait for the VA to notify as to what, if anything, they need to complete action on the other claims.
