Requesting C File

Rate this question

SgtD6970

Question

I requested a copy of my C-File using the FOIA form from the VA. I received all the C-File completed at the Birmingham Hospital. What I did not receive was a copy of the C-File from when I first filed in 1990 when I retired from the Army. Question is do I need to request a copy from the Richmond Hospital were the C&P was conducted or how do I get a copy of the information from that C&P. Thanks Sgt D

If they did not give you all that you wanted you need to ask again and be specific what is missing.

Veterans deserve real choice for their health care.

I agree with pete53 about asking again and being more specific if its your C-File your wanting.

I am a little confused tho by your wording.

It almost sounds like you are just looking for the results of a C&P exam that was done at the Richmond Hospital in 1990.

If that is the case, you will need to request the C&P exam records from the location that performed the exam (Richmond Hospital) or if it is a clinic and not an actual medical center you would need to request the C&P exam records from the managing medical center for that clinic.

I assume either way the C&P results would have been encluded in the C-File copy, but that is an assumption.
