militarynurse
Getting a clothing allowance may be possible for using a wheelchair. Extending that concept, is is also possible to get a clothing allowance for using a scooter? Any info appreciated.

Use the argument that not only does sitting in the scooter wear clothes, but a scooter isn't always available and sometimes you have to use a wheelchair. If you have a back or leg condition, you could always ask your PCP to prescribe a LSO corset (for the lumbar spine) or a metal hinged knee brace. Both of those qualify for the clothing allowance.
