HadIt.com Elder allan Posted February 26, 2009 Author HadIt.com Elder Share Posted February 26, 2009 With an additional $150,000,000 to hire & train raters, will it help with the backlogs? Thats allot of money to put it into bonuses for shredding claims or ignoring primary evidence & dr shopping for just the right IMO to deny with. Training raters to repeat intentional errors will produce little justice in vets getting their claims resolved in a decent time frame(90-120 days),without being remanded. But I guess it will put people to work for the Gov for a while. http://www.internet2.edu/government/docs/R..._Bill_Div_A.pdf page-214 DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS 2 GENERAL OPERATING EXPENSES.. , For an additional amount for "General Operating Expenses", $150,000,000, to remain available until September 30, 2010, for additional expenses related to hiring and training temporary surge claims processors. OFFICE OF INSPECTOR GENERAL For an additional amount for "Office of Inspector General", $1,000,000, to remain available until September 30, 2011, for oversight and audit of programs, grants and projects funded under this title.
