ptsd Ptsd Claim And Rating Board

I checked on the status of a claim for PTSD increase in IRIS, and was told the claim was soon going to the Rating Board. I'm new on this forum, and still new to the VA system.

Can someone explain what the Rating Board is? I thought the claims were rated and decided by RVSRs. Is the Rating Board an added step...is it in each Regional Office? And, most importantly, does it add to the time we must wait.

The rating board is part of the process. Its their job to assign a per centage to you condition. You are getting faily close to an answer.
