Exemptions on Real Estate is a state matter and all States are different.

Places like Florida offer total tax exemption but here where i am property is tax exempt up to $180,000. $180,000 house in Southern CA would be a shed on a 10 by 10 lot.

South Carolina has total exemption for property up to one acre and 2 cars I don't think there is a max price but you can get a nice home here for 200,000 I got a nice one for 168,000
