i dont know the ssdi stuff but you are being represented by one or two veteran groups so thats a great start in itself. ask to be evaluated for everything and see what they give you. I was told once by a c and p officer at a VA hospital that you can write on a napkin that you would like to be evaluated for compensation for service connected disabilties and send that in to the va and they have to respond. thank you for your service sir. good luck. stay positive

Recon Ron,

I am both SSI disability and VA disability. TDIU 80% schedular VA. My SSI took 3 years. They usually deny the first claim. You nedd someone to help you with the SSI. I don't know of any VA people who can help. I used an on line agency called Alsup or Allsup. They took care of all the paper work, appeals, getting doc and hospital records etc. By law they can charge you, but only a percentage of your SSI award when you get it and if you get it. You can also go to a Social Security attorney. Be patient hang in there and it will be worth it. When you when you get back pay to time of filing which is a big chunk.

Semper Fi Bro,
