No-= I spoke to Carol Olzanecki 2 weeks ago (she has been fabulous in getting sponsors for this bill) and there is no status yet.

With the Holidays and then the weather that closed DC- nothing is new on this yet.

You mentioned you are helping a VN vet so I assume his/her exposure is not an issue for that claim?

VA has recently published a ships list for Brown Water Navy who were in inland waters-for exposure purposes-but the scuttlebutt among some of us members of BWNVVA-is that this ship's list might help some Brown water vets but is it really just an "appeasement" if HR 2254 does go through.

By ships list I mean the boats that left the ships and went into brown water tributaries.

As the list shows, this would be LSTs, LCVPs, PCFs and swift boats (PBRs) coming from the ships off coast of Vietnam into tributary waters during the War.

I spoke to Carol yesterday-on HR 2254-

245 Sponsors House

15 sponsors Senate

She will let me know if anything happens-

BTW Carol and John Rossie (Blue Water Navy Vietnam Veterans Asscoc) will be on SVR radio the first Wed. of March and will hopefully have a status at that time if not sooner.

(or maybe not- they haven't even posted the new AO regs yet for the presumptives in the Federal Register-that concerns me a lot-claims under these new presum[tives can be filed and developed but wont be granted until they have something in 38 CFR,38USC and M21-1MR)
