Hi Everyone,

I just got my hearing date set for July. If I am successful at the hearing does anyone know the time frame to get a decision and back pay? Thanks.

From the research I've done, two to three months is the time period to be notified of the results of your hearing. However, if there is more evidence to be submitted to the ALJ, then the time period will be longer.

After getting your decision and you are approved, then it will be one to two months for your check to start, and if your lucky you will receive your backpay in the same time period. There are variables that may slow it down, such as SSI vs SSDI, backlog at the accounting office, etc...

Hope this helps... Good luck at your hearing!
