Copy Of C&p Was Not Available.....

Question

I had a C&P exam Monday for mood disorder and thought the exam went

quite well. The Doctor told me she would type up the results that day

and get it to the VARO as soon as possible. I didn't think twice about

this because I thought she would find out that my files were at the

AMC and send the report there.

I waited until today so as to give plenty of time according to her

statement. I didn't really think that it would be handled that fast,

but stranger things have happened. I called the FOI office to see if

I could pick up a copy of the exam. I was told that the Doctor would not

release a copy of the report until she sent it to Winston-Salem(RO) because

that is who she was doing the exam for. I would have to get a copy from them.

What a crock!! I didn't want my claim back at that place for anything. I called

the 800# and was told that, yes my files were at the AMC but the exam would

be sent back to the RO. I asked him who would rate the claim, RO or AMC

and he started to stutter and replied,"either one can". Instead of saying

I don't know. He said to write a letter requesting a copy of the exam

from the RO and they would send a copy when they could get to it. Damn!!!

One step forward and two back. I fought to get it out of the RO and now it is

right back in their hands.

Don't worry just yet, keep in mind if you don't like the decision, your claim can still go back to BVA.

My intentions are to help, my advice maybe wrong, be your own advocate and know what is in your C-File and the 38 CFR that governs your disabilities and conditions.

Do your own homework. No one knows the veteran’s symptoms like the veteran. Never Give Up.

I do not give my consent for anyone to view my personal VA records.

little.

Could a Mod please delete the last post, the board seems to be acting up on

me today. Will not load pages. I don't know why it double posted.
