Warning! Ebenefits Not Secure Site

Rate this question

WAC-Vet75

Question

I just went to ebenefits to check on my claim.... Somehow, without logging in, I was able to go to "claim status", noticed that the dates were wrong, then looked and saw I was signed in as Dennis Houser, NOT me, and the claim is in Philadelphia, NOT where I live, nor where my claim is pending! I wonder if someone is presently accessing my records.......

For some strange reason, I just logged into E-benefits. its working. WHen you call the phone number for the site, it says its down. SO, the VA fixed the site that quick and it is safer than before. I am really confused.

It is working for me too, but within 5 minutes, I had to re-login three times. Maybe it's almost fixed... Someone may have to manually disable the 1-800 'not working' message.

If the problem only Ebenefits, the VA might choose to only notify those users.

It has been a while, but how long did it take for the VA to notify us about the security breach?

How to view your ebenefits account activity

On the "My eBenefits" link at the top, go to "Utilities" and click on "account activity history"

I am waiting on 2 Congressmen to give me that answer. I am very pro-active with legal issues.

Its down again, maybe a hacker opened it up for me to take a quick look. Hopefully the Congressman will investigate this if they aren't already.

I always tells me when I log on that it does not recognize the security certificate and that I should not go on it, does anyone else get this message

I used to get that message last year, but I called their support line and they fixed it pretty quickly.
