shawn30
What is the difference between being rated at 100% with or without TDIU? I have been doing some research and trying to interpret the CFR Part 4. If I am approved for each item which I have claimed, I will be rated at 100%. What do I have to look forward to if or when I receive a 100% rating? thanks in advance....

HadIt.com Elder Pete53 Posted November 8, 2011 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted November 8, 2011 TDIU means that you are not 100% per schedule but your service connected disability prevents you from working so you are awarded 100%, In reality it does not matter you still get paid the same. Its important that the rating be permanent to get other benefits. Good Luck Veterans deserve real choice for their health care.
shawn30
Great, thanks. That makes more sense than reading the lawyer lingo in the regs. I'm looking at a rating of 94 so I'm hopeful that I will receive an additional 10% to be at 100.
HadIt.com Elder Testvet Posted November 8, 2011 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted November 8, 2011 94 and 10 does not equal 104 in VA math getting from 90% to the 100% schedular is the hardest problem most vets that get to 90% end up getting TDIU after they get to the point they are no longer unemployable but you do need your doctors to verify that you are physically or mentally unable to continue working don't count your chickens before they get hatched 100% SC P&T PTSD 100% CAD 10% Hypertension and A&A = SMC L, SSD a disabled American veteran certified lol "A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step." shawn30
Yes, that is correct but I was referring to 94 plus 10% equals 95, which in turn will be rounded up to 100%. :-) In my case though, that's assuming I will be granted higher than 0% for my current service connected injuries, four total.... But I'll hope for the best!!
