Does anyone know what the current average time for BDD claims are? I filed 3 months before I retired from active duty. Next month will be a year since I've filed. I get the usual general letter that everyone gets saying they're still processing my claim. I called the VA a couple of weeks ago and asked what the status was & they told me it's been in the " final decision phase" since Sep 2011 (when I retired). They said it is with the "board members". I was told by a friend, some VA claims departments are slower than others. I was told mine is in Salem. Anyone familiar with that office? Thanks everyone!
