Question

I sent an iris request about a question I had about my recent decision. They responded in about a week

saying my RO would be contacting me. About a week later I got an email from my RO telling me to

find my local VSO & ask them any questions I have. I don't know why it always has to be so difficult !

Send them a letter back and ask for a Post Decision Hearing.

If they don't want to be reasonable, make them go on the record as to why they wouldn't talk with you the first time. Get it recorded and transcribed.

No where in CFR38 does having a VSO absolve the VA from communicating with a veteran.

the Post Decision Hearing is a magnificent idea. never heard of it before. I really need this-- have been fighting for 23 years about being sexually assaulted by a VA doctor in his office, I had so much evidence the state suspended his med license for 5 yrs. VA has PTSD on my list of diagnoses but still considers it non-SC (I'm fighting them via Sec. 1151). Thanks again.
