I retired in 2010 and since that time I have been seeing all civilian doctors. I had two visits to the VA since then (June 2011, to get enrolled in the VA system and Yesterday August 16 2012). The appoinment yesterday was becuase I scheduled it (took me 8-10 months to get in) and I wanted to keep the VA aware of what was going on with me. My doctor at the VA updated all of my civilian meds in the VA system and scheduled me to receive a new back brace and eye glassess. She asked if I wanted to keep my civilian doctors or change to VA, I told her I wanted to keep my Civilian docs and she said "that would be great because they have a back log of patients". What do yall think, did I do the right thing, and also I am wondering should I go for P and T or should I wait for a C and P exam to be scheduled. I am looking at the benefits for my wife and kids in the long run (college)...
