Erythema Ab Igne

By now I'm sure that almost all of you are wondering what the hell is Erythema ab igne?

It's more commonly called toasted skin syndrome. In my case it's caused by the amount of time I spend sitting in my recliner with a heating pad on my lower back. It's the most comfortable position I can find.

Anyone have any experience with this? Going to claim it as a secondary condition and just trying to get an idea of what it would be rated under.

I have the am a condition. They have never called it that. But it has been noted in My medical chart. I agree with you, but playing the devils advocate, I think the will try to say that it is caused by you own negligence. The direction on the heating pad says not to lay on it. Wlf! Like you are going to lay on your stomach and sit the pad on top. I hope you win this secondary claim . Please keep us posted.
