Jackdays,

I have some sucess in obtaining records from this address; Department of Veterans Affairs

Records Management Center

St Louis, MO 63115-5020

This is not the national personnel records center in St Louis.

38 CFR, 4.71A, diagnostic code 5276 covers Flatfoot, acquired;

0%- mild-symptoms relieved by built up shoe or arch support

10%- moderate weight bearing line over or medial to great toe, inward bowing of the tendo archillis, pain on manipulation and use of the feet, bilateral

or unilateral

20%- Severe- objective evidence of marked deformity, pain on manipulation and use accenuated, indication of swelling on use, characteristic callosities,

unilateral

30% Same defifination written above but both feet experincing the same symptoms

50%- pronounced; mark pronation, extreme tenderness of plantar surfaces of the feet, marked inward displacement and severe spasm of the tendo achillis

on maniuplation, not improved by orthopedic shoes or appliances.

The 50% rating is for bilateral. If these symptoms only occur in one foot, then the rating shall be 30%

Hope this helps and thank you for your service!
