Question

Bob Walsh, a great vet's lawyer sent this email that COlonel Dan is sending out:

From: Robert P. Walsh [mailto:rpwalsh@sbcglobal.net]
Sent: Tuesday, April 02, 2013 9:50 AM
To: 'Colonel Dan'
Subject: RE: Obstructive Sleep Apnea

Obstructive sleep apnea and link to PTSD, DMII and Heart.

Notice all thr ee are common for VN vets.

The latest wrinkle on OSA here. Got a call from VARO Detroit. They will not schedule a sleep study for my 80% S/C vet for his OSA claim.

Sooooo. We get to do the study, pay for it and then maybe VA will grant.

As a new and distinct claim VA should not be able to go fishing in previously rated issues.

But sometimes it is better to keep your head down until you know how well the other guy can shoot.

Get a sleep study done, get the form filled out and send it in on a 21-526 EZ and it should move through quickly.

Jerrel,John, Stretch and I will be doing a SVR show with Bob Walsh on April 10th here at hadit SVR Radio and this might be a great topic for him to discuss.

If any of you heard some older SVR shows we did with Bob at another radio station, you know he is a superb lawyer and the show will sure not be boring!

As you can see Bob knows VAOLA land in and out by his remarks here.

I am sure Bob meant the medical form (copy of it) that shows that a sleep study was done.

I will be talking to Bob Walsh on Monday and try to get more info on what he meant here.

The Polysomnogram (PSG)

A sleep study ,usually called also a Polysomnogram (PSG) is explained here although there might be many ways this study is performed:
