How Long "under Review"

I put my claim into the VA in June 17, 2013 and my folder went up to DC 02 AUG 2013. Been under review since.

My friend who had his claim up in DC on th 8th of august got his decision back last week.

How did he get his before me? I wish there was a way to call them and ask them about the hold up.

You CAN call them and ask. I talked with a real person yesterday named Linda and she was VERY nice and we went over my entire file.

The tough part is navigating the 1-800 number to get to a person. I forget what all the options are but, I do remember choosing the 'rotary phone' option and answering questions from there.

I also remember choosing to have a Rep call ME back and they did so within a half hour.

By the way mine started in March and I am still 'under review' Linda said this is the longest part.

Do you happen to know the number? And is it different for each location? because i need to know what to search for in order to get right phone number
