Attorney Richard Spataro has just emailed me and confirmed all Nehmer - Haas- etc applies to all affected widows too-

All affected widows should file either a New Claim or Re-open their old claim-and if at BVA, CAVC ---all info is in the recent NVLSP Statement I posted here regarding that. They should print this info and bring it to their vet rep and file or re-open their claim-

What if a blue water vet has an open case file before the new ruling? Do they need to file again with the a new date?

I dont think so Jangrin-

but they might want to check with their vet rep to see if they know of the Haas decision as it could be sent in support of their present claim. It is on a ticker alert re Haas at CAVC and can be found at CAVC -I have it here and haven't even read it yet-
