Has Anyone Else Had This Message Pop Up On Ebennies

Question

if this message popped up, was some of your claims being revaluated or new claims filed when this popped up?

or if u have a pendding claim and this has not popped up. Reason im asking is I have several claims pending and im at 60 percent as far as last claims were approved, but I think they may have approved some more, and I havent been notified because they are still working some of the claims.

What Do We Still Need From You? Your Attention is Needed

You may be entitled to compensation at the 100 percent rate if you are unable to secure and follow a substantially gainful occupation because of your service-connected disabilities. If you believe you qualify, complete, sign, and return the enclosed VA Form 21-8940, Veterans Application for Increased Compensation Based on Unemployability.

Date Requested: 03/13/2014

Hi 63Sierra,

I had this on my claim. If you mentioned that you could not work because of service connected injuries or illnesses they will automatically request that you fill out the form.

thanks I do wonder though because I had already previously submitted the 21-8940 several months back and I know they recieved it because it is listed in my list of unsolicited items page on ebenies ' what have we recieved from you" section.

An employee of the va told me that ebennies is a reactive type system, when they input certain things, it automatically outputs things programmed into the system. So I think something else triggered that message to come up. possibly an increase to the 70 percent rate. I will monitor and report once I find out.

Sierra, if you've already submitted the form I would suggest you resubmit the exact one you've already submitted. Do not fill out another one. If you have anything to show how you submitted it i.e. return postage receipt, fax cover confirmation, or even the screen shot of ebennies showing it listed as received. DO NOT trust the VA to find it!!! They will use any reason to show that you didn't submit something they've requested. I had to resubmit my husbands TDIU form multiple times, always the same one and always with proof that it had already been submitted. I would also include a little note spelling it out clearly when and how it was first submitted, that you are including it AGAIN, and that they are to use this form to satisfy the request. You really have to CYA with them. We won my husband's TDIU claim in part because we gave them absolutely no reason to deny it.
