Question

My claim went to prep for notification 3June14, DAV sent an unofficial letter rating me at 60% on 5June14. Claim is still in prep for notification and peggy told me the claim closed on 5June14. Any good guesses when they finalize my claim? Thanks for all responses.

Important info:

Claim opened: 8Apr13

Claim closed: 23Sept13 (moved to CT and VA did not update my address, cancelled my C&P in my home state a week before)

Administrative Review ever since

UPDATE: My claim moved back to PENDING DECISION APPROVAL on 24June14 and the DAV sent the same notification letter to me. Only difference in the letters are the date the claim was approved.

Someone at the DAV must have jumped the gun. Until you receive official notification, I wouldn't call it "over".

I can say my claim is finally COMPLETE as of this morning. Fairly short time for an initial claim.

MY TIMELINE:

Initial Claim opened: 8APR13 Initial claim closed: 23Sept13

Administrative Review: 28Sept13

Gathering of Evidence: 24Feb14

Prep for Decision completed: 27May14

Pending Decision Approval: 24June14-2July14

Claim Closed: 2July14

Final Verdict: 60% Disability Rating all letters are up!

My claim did go through 3 phases of Pending Decision Approval!!
