usdart
So I went on 'myhealthevet' and wrote that I have a very possible skin cancer I want looked at right away. I was given an Appointment 3 months out. Is this normal or should I be more forceful to address it?
georgiapapa
If they can not schedule you an appointment with VA dermatologist within the next 30 days, ask VA to schedule you an appointment with an approved civilian dermatologist in the next 30 days. Notorious Kelly
Not unusual to wait 3 months just to see PCP to get REFERRAL to wait more months to see skin folks to wait more months for surgery. I have had much larger chunks than necessary cut out due to the delays. Ask about those new funds to see civilian doc instead of waiting.
jeffperry1134
Definitely ask to be seen sooner or by a civilian doctor. I did that and got into a civilian doctor and he removed it in the same visit. Need to get that stuff off as soon as possible.
