georgiapapa Posted January 4, 2015 Share Posted January 4, 2015 You don't show a disability percentage on your profile so I am assuming this is your first award. Based on the info you provided in your post, it looks like you have a total award of 30%. With an award of 30% or higher you are entitled to reimbursement for any travel to VA medical appointments (service connected and non-service connected). You are also entitled to retroactive travel pay for any travel to VA appointments back to the effective date of your award. Congratulations and thank you for your service. loner62quiet Posted January 5, 2015 Author Share Posted January 5, 2015 This is my first claim, actually I was pleased to get the ratings that I got. My TBI was in March of 1966 and I was surprised to get service connection I would have liked to have seen 10% down the line. If that would have been the case I would have been at 50%.
